Congratulations, Emmanuel College EC Radio, for Being Named National Awards Finalist

IBS Student Radio Network member station EC Radio (Emmanuel College, Boston) has been designated a finalist for the Intercollegiate Broadcasting System’s 2013 National Awards in the following categories:

Best Live Music Broadcast for Colby Rich’s ’16 weekly show “Saturdays @ 7.”
Best Radio Drama for Scott Gagnon and the Mystery Radio Theatre’s production of the “Halloween Special (Episode 3).”
Best Documentary for Joe Horgan’s ’13 “Growing Pains.”

IBS-Palooza TONIGHT live!

XTSR Towson will be broadcasting LIVE tonight, April 20th.

The Greene Turtle of Towson will be hosting XTSR April 26th, 2012 from 7-10 PM.  They will will be featuring some of the best talent in the area.

XTSR says: “If live music isn’t enough to get you there, maybe it will sweeten the deal to know that YOUR FAVORITE DJ might be attending as well!  Come by and mingle with the people that serenade you every week.”

IBS-SRN Welcomes TARA HS, Baton Rouge LA

The IBS Student Radio network is pleased to welcome its newest member, Tara HS Radio in Baton Rouge, LA. Under the direction of Jay Redmond, who built the station along with students over the previous six months.Tara HS Radio will broadcast a mix of native Louisiana Cajun and jazz music, and is designed to be the media magnet for the local parish. LIVE Broadcast at CMJ/Pirate Island NYC 10/19!

Member stations of the IBS Student Radio network will be broadcasting live from Fontana’s on Manhattan’s lower east side, today, October 19th, from 12-5pm as part of the Pirate! Promotions ‘Pirate Island’ showcase . Backbone and TuneIn Radio will be hosting the event, and all stations will be accessible through the TuneIn Radio app available for all major smartphone platforms, as well as online.

The broadcast will be anchored by WLIU-BK Brooklyn, and member schools Western New England College, Emmanuel College, and Fairleigh Dickinson University, along with Manhattan Marymount, CJLO Montreal and Breakthrough Radio will be broadcasting throughout the afternoon.

Marvin Brown, Pellissippi State Radio

CHAMPS Charter High School presents the second annual CHAMPSFest, 12 hours of non-stop music hosted by the school’s own internet radio station, AER(Arts & Entertainment Radio).
